Prevention Specialist / ERASE Coalition Coordinator

This is a full-time position within the Prevention Department of the Mercer County Behavioral Health Commission.
This position will be responsible for the planning, delivery and coordination of ERASE Anti-Drug Coalition and Drug-Free Community Support Programs in the Shenango Valley area. This position will work in conjunction with the Minority Health Center and the coalition Steering Committee. Position is responsible for supporting coalition membership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of project programs. Coordinator will act as a conduit among all subcommittees and community groups working together and supporting the project. Tasks will include preparing materials for coalition meetings and documenting the results of the meetings, data collection process, reviewing service activity slips and recording outcome measurements for the project programs. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to both adults and children, in large audiences, in small groups, individually and in writing. Must be able to recruit, motivate and organize groups of people representing multiple segments of the community. Candidate must possess strong public speaking and time management skills.
Qualified candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Health Education, Education, the Social or Behavioral Sciences or related field.
Act 33 and Act 34 Clearances will be required. Competitive salary provided, commensurate with experience and education of the candidate
